Today, March 29th, 2010 another day in the sun, sand and water coupled with a visit to the Grand Wailea Hotel and Resort. The Grand Wailea occupies 40 meticulously landscaped acres on beautiful Wailea Beach. This luxurious resort is one of the most beautiful and prestigious hotels in Maui, Hawaii.

KA 'IKENA O 'IAO

A thousand years age, Hawaiians gathered at IAO Valley to celebrate
and honor the bounty of Lono, god of agricuiture, during the annual
makahiki festival. Today, IAO Valley is recognized as a special place
for both its spiritual value and spectacular scenery.

Whale Watching Day

My birthday, March 16th. consisted of the enjoyment and excitement
of watching the magnificent humpback whales from a boat off the
coast of Maui. The humpbacks are in the Hawaiian waters until the
end of April. Then the whales return to the North Pacific and Alaskan waters.

One spot on Maui, Hawaii for those seeking natural beauty other
than ocean views is located approximately 6 miles southwest of
Kahului Airport on State Hwy. 30. While visiting this location
it is easy to take several hundred pictures.

Wailea Point, Maui, Hawaii

Saturday morning March 13th. 2010 and it is still winter here in Hawaii. This morning I had the urge to take some pictures, so with my digital camera in hand, I got in my car and drove five miles down the coast to Wailea Point. This southwest shoreline has without a dought, the most beautiful, serene skies and bright blue waters of any section of Maui, Hawaii
